I got propositioned tonight for a 1997 Land Cruiser from the "international" guys that run the BP at Riverside Drive. They have a 1997 Collectors Edition that is in pretty bad shape cosmetically but, appears to be in good shape mechanically. I have never seen so much crap (trash) in a Land Cruiser before, quite frankly disgusting. It has a bit of body damage on the driver's side from an accident and has been repainted horribly. None the less, I think I could get it for $2,000. It would be a great project truck but, it has no lockers. If anyone is interested, let me know and I will take a few pictures.

Sounds like a good $1k truck....get some pics. For the right price it could be a buggy for ya.

Got all the fluids baselined after work and did a Seafoam treatment on the motor. It is purring like a kitten now.

I have a club guy interested looking at it this week. I REALLY hope he will buy it. Some used cars I want as far away as me as possible but this one, I would love to keep my eyes on over time. I think it is 110% solid.

If said clubmember passes, I have a guy in Memphis coming down on Sunday.

I will see what I can do...

Mark, lets buy it and make a buggy out of it. Sounds like a perfect candidate. We can part out the stuff that wont be used to fund some of the build.

When we get it finished we can leave it in hot springs. That is the only place I will ever use a buggy and I do not want to have to buy tow vehicle and trailer.
