Two load levelers make a tough one man job a whole lot easier.

That is one long drive train

Something about hanging a drive train just puts a smile on my face.

Look Ma, no chain hoist. Custom cross member and motor mounts are fabricated and installed. The frame is plated with 1/4" where the motor mounts are welded in. I am with you Johnny, it sure is pretty sitting in there.

Awesome. How about a few more pics.

Looks awesome. Have you ever done a 80 series with a 6.0, all wheel drive and manual transmission? I bet that is a blast to drive. ;<)

Thanks guys. Not at this point on the 80. Building a shop truck now 5.3L/4L60E/split case 2WD/4WD with manual hubs
The next shop truck will be a slightly modified :) 5.3L/NV4500/split case with manual hubs

I am not a personal fan of the AWD setup but will do it for a customer if requested

You can push a cruiser really hard with full time 4wd. One of the reasons I own a LC. Makes the beast actually fun to drive. Throw in a manual transmission and it would be really fun. ;<)

Sitting happy in it's new home

Hanging the front clip today

Getting everything lined up with a twisted front clip on a new straight frame is a patience tester indeed

A little twin stick love. Getting them both bent alike is fun. All out, welded and painted now, back in tomorrow.

Georg makes a nice kit. My bends were not nearly as progressive, but I wanted a bit of separation between the 2 sticks in the cab. I like how you did your's there, I know that was not easy.

George at Valley Hybrids is the go to guy when it comes to anything gearbox related. I can not say enough good things about him. He supplied me with a totally rebuilt split case with twin sticks for a great price to my door (across country) in less than 10 days. Great product, great customer service.

I did not have a whole lot of choice as to bends on the sticks as they had to come forward, up and then back into the interior. I was just happy they came out the same.

This thing is awesome! Think the owner might bring it to the ONSC Christmas Party?

Thank you Jeremy. I do not think so as he is about 5.5 hours in the other direction from me in AL putting him about 8 hours from the barn.

Engine bay ready for new wiring. The OEM harness is tucked up inside the fenders on both sides up to the headlights. Getting motor harness, new battery cables and starter cable, new grounds, new headlights and harness, driving lights and a new horn circuit. Battery tray and air cleaner are installed on the passenger side. All new gauges..

These replace the stock sealed beams, upgraded bulbs and a new harness to go with them. This should light up the night

LOL, not amazing, just a whole bunch of work over and above a basic engine swap.
