79 FJ40- What is it worth?

What would you guys be willing to give for this 40?

I would like to have it for parts. The body looks to be shot. To me the top doesn't look too bad. Sounds like the engine is in decent condition, and I can see several other things that appear to be in good shape. Like the door panels and upper dash pad.

I am working on my 81 FJ40, and can see a few things on this one that are in better shape than mine. I could use the top, mine has a lot of rot, and this one looks pretty solid. The engine looks complete and has a lot fewer miles than mine. I would also like to have it for small stuff like extra bolts and to refer to when I am totally lost when I start putting mine back together.

I know things on e-bay tend to go for some ridiculous prices, so where would you guys draw the line on bidding on this one. It may already be too high.

i would have stopped at 1000...but there are some good things there for your year...how hard is it to find what your looking for, for your rig? if you need a top ...right there is over $500

1500 max maybe?

you can recoop some $$$ selling parts

like selling the tool kit

power steering if there

Thanks for the opinion, that is about the number I had in mind. With it already above $1200 though that is probably not likely.

if its being totally stripped and parted out it will probable go up to max 3000 anything more will be a $$$ losser for somebody...cost and time dont add up with that one.

There is not enough there that I need, to go that high. I personally don't have the time or desire to completely part it out. I will just have to hope that not too many people do.
