gas tank emmions 2.jpg

What has everyone that de-smogged a 2f been doing with the line that runs from the plastic manifold to the carbon canister been doing. Attached is a picture of the plastic manifold that connects the three vent lines from the gas tank. From the top of this manifold is a rubber hose with a filter that then connects to a hard line that runs underneath the body and connects to the carbon canister by rubber hose. I no longer have any of the emission valves. Should I still run the line mentioned above to the carbon canister? Will this help eliminate gas oder? Sorry about the huge picture.

Similar to @Pighead but I vent my canister back to the intake manifold. Edit: air cleaner

My 1974 FJ40 amazingly still has the OEM charcoal canister. I routed the canister output thru a fuel rated hose to the driver's side and put a small filter on the end.

I routed it that way IOT plumb it into the intake system. My wife, who has a sensitive nose, has never complained so that's how its been for years.
