I also threw some dash parts in the dishwasher and hoping they will be done before the wife gets home. Usually she doesn’t care but she probably won’t like the I added them in with the dishes.
I've been wanting a parts washer for awhile but I don't think I have room at my present location unless I keep it outside. Do those have a filter on them to collect the dirt and grease or does it just go down a drain? I'm on a septic system and wouldn't want all that muck clogging up anything.
I picked up an automatic parts washer after a few of those conversations…

I hear you on the heat. We've been getting record rain up here in Pennsylvania this spring. The temperatures are only 80-90℉ but the humidity has been a killer. Even in the shade, your t-shirt and jeans are soaked through in no time at all.
Pretty cool project. I'll be following this one!

Firewall is good which is the main piece so I’m happy. Everything else can be fixed.Wow. And I thought the floor plan and firewall were the only unmolested bits left on that cab.
...at least the firewall is in good shape, right?
Yup Monco was the best. We had to put him down a few months ago after 12 years. He literally was and will be the best family dog we ever had. Boxers have a great personality.A bit off topic, but I like your Boxer, a flashy brindle. Our first Boxer was a flashy reverse brindle, and she sold us on Boxers. They are a real good family dog, and real good and amazingly gentle with little kids.

I’m still debating it. My initial budget was mainly for parts. I have a cheap HF blaster but the thought of putting on that hood in summer heat doesn’t sound appealing. Are you going to get the cab blasted? Here are some guys I have used in the past.

I used this guy in Shertz to media blast the 40 body. He also primered it.

Nice! I’m gling to try your method. That reminds me I need to pull my 80 grill off and do the same. My rattle can black over the chrome is coming off.Wow Cim... I didn’t even know you had this project going man! Ultra cool!!
Yep... just scrub that grill clean and scuff it with som 0000 steel wool. Then get some rattle can BBQ grill paint and shoot three coats over it. You don’t have to saturate it with paint, just a light cover on each coat and wait 15-20 minutes between coats. It’ll look brand new.
