i would like to remove my rear heater b/c it's always in the way. is there any easy way to do this and get those ugly hoses out of the way?
thanks :)

yea, i just did this on my 71. unscrew the heater, but the lines, pull the heater out. then get rid of the T fittings that these plug into (near the main heater) and replace the T fitting with a streight fitting.
I think thats it.

is it possible to cap the t fitting instead of removing it? could i just loop some rubber hose from one fitting to the next? i would like the option of repacing the heater easily if i change my mind.

Loop the T and that is the ticket. Mine is like that and it works well.

I put some bolts inside the rubber tubes and then clamped them. Cheap and successful.

I did the same (bolt & clamp) no problems yet!

It'll drain as soon as he removes the heater hoses....

you can buy the caps at any autoparts store...I got some from Kragen for less than $2.
