Get ready Ic200 owners!

Full details tomorrow and more pics. We have been hounding 74Weld for the Ic200 for a while now and they delivered. As some of you know we here at Dissent offroad have been running and installing their portals on the new gen Toyotas for a while now and they are an absolute game changer. If we can answer any questions whatsoever or if you are interested in exploring portals for your Ic200 reach out to sales@dissentoffroad.com and we are happy help. Also feel free to start some discussion here and I will try and keep it updated.

What a tease. Great to see 74weld finally deliver on 200-series (and Tundra) fitment.

Considering what most of us spent in mods, a stock 200-series with portals and tires might just be the better move to get further down the trail.

I'll count my piggy-bank....

What will be the gear reduction options for the LX 570? No issues with any factory sensors and factory ahc? Need to swap to tundra length front arms to clear 37’s? Do they know yet what the optimal wheel offset to run 37”x12.50’s on stock suspension is to keep it as narrow as possible but without hitting/rubbing frame or other components when turned locked to lock?

I agree. Bolt on portals and big tires. Done.
OEM suspension reliability. Clearance and gears all in one.

Just ignore the price tag.

If I had gone portals, the only thing in my current build I’d likely have skipped are the 4.88s. Stock suspension still would not cut it due to the weight. I’d still do lockers even though I agree that portals and big tires are probably more real world useful if getting you somewhere than triple lock.

If I had a do over with the knowledge of how much money I was actually gonna spend on this truck, I think I would consider portals however, at this point, as I’ve already regeared I just don’t think it’s in the fiscally feasible category for me.

Anyone wanna trade there stock diffs…. :)

I have stock diffs in my 2013 and battling what I want to do too. Are your diffs 4.88’s and arb’s?

What is the little banjo fitting on the top for?

What is the maintenance schedule like on these?

Any restrictions on ground speed, towing, or other aspects of driving the rig like stock?

Are other mods needed to help offset the significant difference in how forces are applied to the suspension?

They will be the same as the lc200. 22% reduction.
no, you will not need tundra arms. Based off our experience with installing portals I would say a factory bbs forged wheel from a new tundra or sequoia would be perfect. That is a positive 60 I believe. The portals add 2.77 inches of width per corner which is about 2” less than the other offerings out there. While it is not the exact same here is my new lx700h on portals with ahc set to normal, plus 40 wheel, 37x12.5 tires and a 50 mm extended flare and the width is not bad at all. On the lc200/lx570 the poke will be even less I believe.

Those are for the breather. Each corner has a breather that needs to be run with the diff breather.

Oil change every 5k miles is recommended. Takes about 30-40 min.

Not really. I drive my 2 74Weld equipped vehicles just as I did before portals. I just did a 1200 mile trip where mostly I was doing 80-85mph and it felt great.

I recommend upgrading any non ahc suspension as we are adding some mass and width with the weigh of the portals and larger tires. Off the shelf suspension offerings are more than enough. While I can’t speak for how the ahc on a lx570 handles it I can say my ahc on the lx700h feels great.

I just noticed that the portals they are advertising for the 200 are 6 lug.

That is correct. Much more positive offset wheel options!
just takes portals to get away from limited wheel choices. I love it.
