Can someone send me the actual breakdown of colours for this paint code from Australia. I am not too
sure it will be here at my local paint store in BC. Thanks, Soon please. Dropping off today for paint.

It comes up in Base clear, but crossing it over into different paint types seems to be a bit of a crap shoot. They do have it in the system here.
I didn't expect that.

By paint types do you mean single-stage or different manufacturers?

I think it’s a single stage polyeurothane or something. We’ve been going back and forth and he says he can match it. I’m stoked now, going with 4E9 with black trim and going to paint the FRP black. Got new SCS F5’s with new Toyo’s.

The only formulas you will see for that will be two-stage.

I’m assuming 058 is 058 - ie in Australia it is called “French Vanilla” 048 but in North America FJ Cruisers were sold as “Iceberg White” 058. Am I correct in this assumption?

I tried to match this one up but have yet to do it. I was told it was

Light Green Metallic
or
Light Mint Metallic

I tried a touch up paint 6P7 Toyota Light Green Metallic but it was a little more green than my vehicle

After searching I was unable to locate a thread where the color codes were posted all in one place. It seems there are a scattering of threads that address specific codes and colors, but nothing that could be deemed a resource for official codes and colors. As more of these vehicles age, the need for repaints and touch ups will increase. So why not start a thread that will address this need and give us all some color inspiration. Perhaps we can get it added as a sticky. So here goes.......no chat please!

Post a picture or pictures of your 70 series with model and year (under good natural lighting)
Post the color code or codes
Post the FRP top code too
Post the name of the color if you know it
Post a color swatch if you have one
Post the original market the vehicle was sold in JDM, USA ,etc.

Something to think about is that Land Cruisers assembled/painted outside of Japan (think Colombia, Venezuela) are almost always subject to local market variations, which is why many of them don't include the paint code in the ID plate or the color differs from Toyota JDM/General Market colors.

One thing I'm curious about is how the two-tone color codes work. Mine Prado is metallic tan on brown, paint code 28P, but when I search the web for that code nothing comes up. Where would I find the color codes for each paint color?

FRP tops were either silver or white.

Who knows the color code for the FRP top silver? I got my BJ74 from Japan recently and I need to paint the FRP top and is silver from factory. Thanks!

If you find the Blue colour code or anything that matches close post that up too! Good luck on the silver. I painted my top black but the
guy didn't mask the blue

I'm curious about that myself. I have the metallic silver on dark green. The only time I've ever heard it mentioned by name was on a part listing on partsouq, dark green mica.

Seen a HZJ75 Troopy with this colour stock and it was immense
