Me neither. I've heard it's not great.
Truck manuals typically aren't great. You've got a comparatively long shifter. So it's not like it's a sports car.

What kind of lingering questions are out there about the new 6th Gen 4Runner, i.e. what do you want to see or learn more about on them?

Any confirmation if the TRD Pro and Trailhunter 4Runners will get the 9.5" rear end or will those get the standard rear end?

From what I have seen re-reading this thread (I don't want to watch the videos for them to spend 20 minutes talking about the interior etc), the prototypes got the 9.5" rear end, but I haven't seen anything stating that the production vehicles will.

I also haven't seen a TRD Pro or Trailhunter at either of the dealerships near me in order to crawl under it and look for myself. :)

They definitely have the larger 9.5” diff.

@cruiseroutfit do any of the 250 Land Cruiser trims in the US get the 9.5" diff?

Not on production units. Not yet anyway. Voices have been heard. Fingers are crossed. Personally I feel that was a total miss to not have the 9.5 on all LC trims.

And just to clarify the above, are just the TRD Pro/Trailhunter models of the 6th generation 9.5", or other trims?

I did not crawl under every possible variant at the NPP event as we focused on the TRDP and TH but I seem to recall that is what we concluded in previous discussions.

All GX/LX models in the US with a 9.5" diff?

Correct

One more question.
Does the 4Runner use the 8" clamshell shared with the previous generation or is the front diff new?
Same as the J250 or J300?

Starting to land locally... nice looking truck but $10k premium over the 5th gen for the TRD Off-Road Premium. Anyone test driven or bought one yet?

IIRC it is pretty similar to the 250, but different for the part time 4x4 models. Not the same as prior generation, but not sure if any parts are interchangeable. Toyota tends to reuse parts so frequently that it wouldn't be a surprise at all if you could interchange some parts. Also different from the 300 that has a larger front diff size. Same as Tacoma.

It has a separate ADD mechanism, so it presumably could have an aftermarket locker added. So far there is no front locker options on the Tundra or Sequoia because they use an electromagnet clutch on the side of the carrier where a locking diff mechanism would otherwise go. Basically they use the same system as most selectable lockers to do the ADD function so there's no place to put the locking assembly.

Saw 2 4Runners today on the road - an SR5 grey and what looked like a TRDOR in white. Nice looking trucks wondering how high markups are gonna be and for how long

You might consider getting one before the tarrifs take effect.

I'm planning to run my GX and Sequoia NAV8s into the ground as they are both almost paid off at 3.2% and low mileage [56K and 23K] - the tarriff s***show hopefully won't happen but if so everything is gonna go off a cliff anyway
