Yeah baby !! Big plans 4 her eh, Body plans ???

I was going to make this an extended cab truck, but decided against it... Pretty stock look is what I'm going for now.

Next one after this is a 60 truck... Black and Tan...

Removed the rear axle, modded some 60 front spring hangers to replace the small hole hangers, patched up some of the POs butchery and got most of the frame wire wheeled and sanded.

Lift was delivered a day early... WOOHOO! just need my shackles and to get the axles cleaned up to get Tank looking like the beginning of a new rig.

I'm starting a project with a messed up frame too. I noticed the front shackle hangers. Are those bought or home made? On the first page you rear shackle hangers. It looks like a kit thing. Where are those from?

The kit was from Dave 4plus aka @lcwizard .. I used FJ60 perches on the front and the 4Plus on the rear. PM him, he can get you headed in the right direction.

Thanks man, I didn't see them on his site when I looked a few weeks ago but i went to his shop about a year ago and he seems to make a whole lot more than he advertises

Nice kleen frame by the way, lucky bum….

HA!! Yeah it isn't too bad. Slight pitting, but better than my 60 frames of late.... One coat of epoxy primer, 2 coats of the macropoxy. Good ole oilfield coating... Been painting oilfield vessel exteriors/interiors for years with it.

Crazy to compare the 40-series frame with the Patrol 60-series frame. 40 has three cross members plus a bolt in, Patrol has 5 cross members. 40 frame not fully boxed, Patrol frame is fully boxed.

That is a good looking frame though, well worth restoring or using in a build.

Cheers

Yes it is... For the two I have it is the better of the two and less PO --- BS welded to it...

Thanks I, We may head up tomorrow and stay the night. I'll give you a shout if we do.

LOTS!!! done this morning IMO..

Frame is primed and painted. Motor mounts are on. Set up both axles, stripped down and primed and painted. Still waiting on shackles and pins. Primed and color match painted the shocks... YES, I'M A GEEK!!

Monday I'll bring the 60 front axle in and strip it down and get it cleaned up for a paint job as well.

I may go with discs in the rear now. Looking at prices for all the drum components, it will be about the same $$.

Have a great weekend guys.

Rear springs and shocks are on. Waiting on more bushings to install the front. 36" swampers are on, may need the wheel spacers I have setting

Ordered a rear disc brake kit from Steve @Poser Thanks for the great communications Steve.

Brought the 60 front axle in and broke it all down. Parts are soaking. Will get these cleaned up and painted tomorrow. Swap the birfs, grind the inner axle and get everything back together, hopefully I have time.
