LOTS!!! done this morning IMO..

Frame is primed and painted. Motor mounts are on. Set up both axles, stripped down and primed and painted. Still waiting on shackles and pins. Primed and color match painted the shocks... YES, I'M A GEEK!!

Monday I'll bring the 60 front axle in and strip it down and get it cleaned up for a paint job as well.

I may go with discs in the rear now. Looking at prices for all the drum components, it will be about the same $$.

Have a great weekend guys.

Ground out the front axle to fit the 60 birfs. Swapped birfs on the 40 axles, got most everything in caliper ceramic paint.

Will start to put the front axle, springs, disc brakes, shocks etc... on tomorrow.

Ordered the MAF tandem master cylinder for 4 wheel discs. 3/16" brake line and some fittings.

J, why don't you have these installed it's been 15 minutes.

I know RIGHT!!! I have a little window in the morning to do a few other things. Calipers are in transit. I will probably start to lay out all the body panels, etc... Starting Tuesday it will be SANDAPALOOSA!! :)

I have been swamped w/ my kids but have made more progress on mine in the last few weeks than I have all year. We finally have decent weather.

What color are you going to paint it? Hardtop, softtop, no top?

Would you consider putting a section of 3/16" strap vertically along the shock tower on the opposite side of the steering column to reinforce or is that unnecessary? I would think notching that gusset might take away from the integrity of the mount a little bit? You know more about metal fatigues and tolerances than I but that's what I'd do.

Hardtop in Subaru Caramel Pearl Bronze (complete body and hard top sides) and Ford Tuxedo Metallic Black ( trim, top and accessories)

HELL NO!! That tower is BULL COCK STRONG as is... No added reinforcement needed AT ALL!

Good to hear, hard to tell without it in front of one's face ya know?

Rest of the build looks good, you're making very good time.
