I'm currently trying to decide between this engine or an LS with 3.70's ahead of a cross country road trip that a buddy and I are planning.
 
Hey Sheck!

I'm having a hell of a time with my r2.8 an nv4500. Im getting a grinding noise when my clutch pedal is UP (clutch disc engaged). Its in every gear and neutral , under load or on the lift. Ive had two separate mechanics look at the trans and take it apart and put it back together. Ive removed it twice. The last mechanic said ive probably sized my clutch wrong (1997 jeep 4.0 duralast). What clutch are you running? Any help you could share id really appreciate.. im so damn close to getting this thing on the road

Update on the new 3:70 gears with the R2.8 ... FANTASTIC !! Night and day difference, pulls like a freight train in 3rd and 4th
The debate on LS Vs R2.8 is a tough one ... if its continuous stop and go traffic then definitely LS, the R2.8 likes to stretch its legs with the turbo power curve ... doesn't like city driving so much. The only thing I am not a fan of it the R2.8 is its a bit noisy/rattly ... but its a Diesel !!

Can't wait for the video! I have my 13BT Turbo Diesel that is kind of like then R2.8 in that way, I too personally kind of like the feel of an LS on an every day driver.

Thanks Steve. I'm also running the Quick Draw adapter, but I used a short bellhousing for the GM input shaft. I think it's the same diameter as the longer dodge one at the spline (1 1/8"). Do you remember if your clutch had 4 doubles springs? Or was it 5?
 
Steve, what beautiful work!

I have a 65'. Can you tell me what seat bracket you are using for these seats? Is it the factory bracket with adapters? Something you fabbed up?

I'd like to put buckets and a center console in my ride and am curious about options. Thank you.

Are you speaking of the new seats coming from TMI ? (brown) ... these come with the double locking sliders.
So I custom make all my own seat brackets etc ... very easy if you can weld, oh and as well I purchase the entire seat frame kit from one of the members here (forgot who .... mmmm )

Anyway ... just got word that these seats finally arrived in Canada and I will hope to have them in my possession in the next week or so. I will post lots of pics so start tuned

Morning J ... this is the best pic I could find but I believe we simply mounted it to te firewall but had to bend the pedal shaft a little to move it away from the brake pedal '
