Time to do it. It looks like the move to Alaska is permanent, and the cruiser isn't doing anyone any good just sitting in West Virginia.

1966 FJ45LV Serial # 25386
Bone stock except for the following:
I switched to a floor shifter from 3 on the tree.
Chevy 6 engine
Spring re-arched for a 3" lift - rear shackles are larger too
Spare aluminum rims are in the trunk
34 x 9.5 super swamper tires
New clutch master and slave cylinders

We picked it up in Illinois in 2007, and drove it around the farm and locally for a couple of years. It has been sitting at my father in laws place since August 2009. If we sell it, we will coordinate with him. It runs fine, but the brakes have developed a leak somewhere (wheel cylinder?), so bring a trailer.

So the big question...how much should I be asking?

ttt - what should I be asking for this vehicle?

To get an accurate idea on price you really need to post up a lot of current pics interior and exterior. Also what is the rust situation as that is always the biggest issue with these LVs?

but based on the limited pics in the other thread I'd say 3-5k

VERY Interested buyer here....trailer ready for the trip!

Please contact me if you're sincere about selling!

Looking forward to some photos - interior, engine and rust :)

Thanks!

More pics here - FIL took them over the weekend. These will show any body rust - there is some below the windshield and on the edges of the lid. From memory, the frame is solid - I do not have any interior pics. There are two seats in the front, and a bench in the back - all are original. No serious rust inside.

FIL was driving it around over the weekend.

Thanks for all the PMs - I havent had a chance to respond - its fishin season!

Hop in line fellas...still haven't heard from the seller.

There's still some etiquette in the forums :)

"FIL" Father In Law. Nice suggestions though!

Still waiting on communication from the seller. Hope he calls before he moves to AK!

MD-
Thanks for that!

I've been waiting patiently- but still, no replies from the potential seller.

I'd love to have this - been wanting another LV ever since I had to give mine up almost 4 years ago :(

Who knows, so we're playing the waiting game.

Jeff

Thanks fellas. $7K. Father in law states the floors and frame are solid. I am in AK, so we will need to coordinate with him. (he's a super-nice guy) Paw Paw, WV is the closest town.

To the best of my memory, the front and rear seats match, but the front has a metal console in the middle. They look original.

All PMs have my phone number now, waiting on an offer.

Well fellas, this ain't eBay....highest bidder does't really work here on 'mud.

Post up an asking price or the mods will delete your post - see forum rules.

Best of luck on your sale.

6 more pictures from last weekend - interior shots etc. https://forum.ih8mud.com/album.php?albumid=3009

So...it does have a bench seat, no console. Floors and bed are in great shape. Father in law did not provide frame pictures, I am certain it is in good shape as well.

The pictures show a little rust on the bottom of the tailgate frame. If you know how to deal with that and the surface rust elsewhere, it could be a good restoration candidate - I'd love to see someone bring back its beauty.

Edit button:)

Thanks Jeff

Sweet ride for sale sorry to muddle the thead OP

Hmm- not to muddle up a thread with chat, but my apologies again for fouling up the $11 shipping on the cluster. I just sent $20 cash to you along with a $50 gift certificate to ToyTec Lifts. Hope it was worth the wait, and thanks for settin' me straight!
