Well, thank you all for the responses! You guys are quick!
I sort of have a plan now. YES, I need a manual, Haynes is going to have to do. As I'm sure the other one someone mentioned above, is probably 10 times better, it costs a lot more as well I'm assuming. (the Volkswagen ones are the same way)
I did an inquiry into the clutch master cyl. and slave. Seems the regular parts stores I called, can get the slave cyl. but no master. (I know what most of you are thinking, "Why the hell did you call a regular parts store?" And rightfully so) But I have friends who can get me parts at commercial account prices there, so why not? LOL
$16.78 for slave, but no master. So, looks like I'll have to get that online somewhere.
Okay digressing back to my plan. Going to call a friend, have him come take the carb off, re-build it for me, in the mean time I can get a throttle cable somewhere, then have him put it back on, and install the new throttle cable. I figure I should do this first, because of what I said about the idle being way too high, with the mickey mouse setup it has now. At the same time I'll have him help me with installing the new master and slave cyl. So by this time, I should be able to fire it, and drive it the 40 yards up the street to my house.
I contacted the person I bought it from, and told him about all the missing lower linkage to the transfer case. He is very cool, and said he'd go with me through all his parts, and if we can't find the setup, he'll let me scavenge one off of the 14 or so cruisers he has in his back yard. This is supposed to happen on wednesday. I'll keep you posted if you care to read on.
BTW he has a rust and accident free survivor early 60's intl. scout back there too, running great. I'm going to see if I can buy that as well in the near future.
PS: What have I gotten myself into? ;p
