Hi everyone,

I have a 1984 BJ70 and have been offered a Lokka at a reasonable price. The Lokka is coming out of a 1983 60 Series.

My question is: are the internals of the rear diffs interchangeable between these two models? Specifically, will the Lokka from the 60 Series fit into my BJ70’s rear diff without any issues?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Some 60s had a full float and some had semi float rear axle, same with the 70 series.
I believe some 70 series even had a 8" rear diff where the 60s all had the 9.5 diff.
In short more information is needed to answer the question.

You should be good to go. They both have the same 9.5” differentials on front /rear on all 6x’s and 84-89/90 HD 7x’s. The Lokka doesn’t care if it’s in a semi-float or ***k-float.

Heya Javaman, did you notice any additional traction after this was installed? Ive always considered getting one myself.... just not at that phase of the project yet
Lokka’s are a game changer !!
