Getting to the point of the 4BT swap for radiator and innercooler installation. I'm considering replacing the 33 year old radiator with new aluminum one. Champion radiators look good. Anybody else have good results with these or others? $160 for 2 row or $200 for 3 row.
Georg at Valley Hybrids recently installed a three row Champion in my 1HZ-T powered 60. It has helped the cooling issues, knocking off 10 degrees or so. However I won't know exactly how much until I test it in the 100+ degree heat this coming summer. It was a direct bolt in, except the lower spout had to be moved for the 1HZ.
I installed one of their 3 rows in my 60 over the summer. Been working fine and bolted right in. Only downside is, it's so shiny makes everything else look bad!

I have the three row. Be forewarned that the flange captive nuts on the rad are not the same as the original. You'll have to take a trip to the hardware store. It seems like they were something odd like 10x1.25. Other than that, mine bolted right up and works great.

Read nothing but great reviews on these. Considering you had two that went bad within a year would tell me something else could be leading to your problem. Were you overheating or loosing coolant?
I didn't even try to send them back. I just ordered OEM after the second one and I've been fine since. One leaked at the very bottom seem and one leaked directly center of radiator.
I think I have a leak on mine. I need to take a closer look but it seems like it’s leaking somewhere on the drivers side. I’ll be bummed if I got a bad one. Will post up what I find when I get a chance to investigate. It probably has less than 8k miles on it and have been using it for 3 years. It never overheated but the stock gauge has always read a little higher than it did when I had the original radiator - but I would think this is driven more or less by the thermostat which was replaced at the same time. Auto meter gauge always reads between 190-200 degree depending on load which seems normal to me.
