I knew the frame rivets were going to be a pain so I picked up an air hammer to aid with the job. By far the best tool for the job. 20 minutes at most and had all the rivets out.

Cleaned the frame up and primed it, gotta get some chassis paint from the store.

Love my 4x4 labs on my 60!!! However, I was more like two hours on rivets....... truly suck.

The best way to remove Toyota frame rivets is with a plasma. The key, though, is to make sure your foot isn't directly under the frame such that the extracted rivet (now in liquid form) doesn't drip down and get stuck beneath the tongue of your shoe. Now THAT sucks!

I’m selling my 83 FJ60, the truck came from OK, it’s very solid, it has many new parts, the previous owner updated the power train with a factory five speed, he purchased a 25k mile engine and transfer case from a total in Dallas then added the new 5-speed, he said it has ~68k miles on the build. I desmogged and added Sniper FI from Cam, we also put new steering links and OME suspension on it; I added Iron Man Pro Comfort foam cell shocks, new 33/10.5/15 BFGs,

Cam also redid the A/C lines and freon. I changed the thermostat housing, thermostat and hose clamp, many new parts on this one as well. Around 33k invested

@WharfRat

Where are you located? Do you know the gear ratio? Who did the installation of the locker? Was it in a vehicle that you owned? Assume it worked when it was removed?

Im coming to the experts: What do ya'll think about this 60? My mother in law is looking for a fun beach cruiser and loves the paint / graphics of this one.

It’s amazing how the wide rim and tires just ruin that truck
Been on and off local CL for a while, listed at $12k. So either a flipper (probably) or it's got some bad frame/undercarriage rust they aren't picturing.
