Nice rig, Aaron.

"5. 4" Alcans, 1-1/2" Shackles, Bilsteins all around, All-Pro Hysteer Kit, 35" Cooper Med Terrains."

What are Alcans? Who sells them? Which type of Cooper did you choose? How wide is the tire?

Thanks in advance ~ B

Finally joined the club after months of looking! Former motorcycle rider; figured it was time to turn my two wheeled hobby into a four wheeled hobby.

I must update my ride! The one I bought a month ago turned out to be a dud (that's the short story) so here's the new beauty.
She had the entire motor and transmission replaced with factory new ones about 20k miles ago. New brakes and MC all around. 100% rust free and looking good!

ALCANS are custom made springs sold pretty much through only them. Do a google search and you should come up with their information. Basically when you are talking to them they will "custom build" springs for you based on the information that you give them.

They did and they "thanked us" by making the fj cruiser

That's a little harsh. It's one thing to state your like or dislike but another to throw something out there as implicitly a POS. Having both a 60 series and an FJC I can appreciate the distinctive character of both and I'd have difficulty picking one over another, although I'd take either over a 200 series.

How could you say that about a 200 series! I am so offended. It was a little harsh don't you think? The FJ cruiser is a sorry excuse for throw back to a land cruiser but most of us know that. Of course I don't own either.

You're right, I should have been a bit clearer in my remark. I'm not dissing the capabilities of the fj crusier, because they are capable vehicles. In fact I was one of their biggest fan until i sat in one. Everything was too plastic-ee for my taste and it sucks if you have a large dog that likes to stick his head out the rear window. Also it did take Toyota a few years to up the HP to match that of the Xterra, that was my biggest turn off.

As far as the 200 goes, I drove the manual diesels in iraq, they are worth their weight in gold. they went everywhere under the harshest conditions with no issues. Having said that I wouldn't buy one for my applications, I'd be way too scared to scratch it.

Agreed, the plastic is not its best feature. I did cheat with the HP issue by getting a S/C.

For those wondering. I used replacement chevy rally style wheels from summit racing with a stainless steel hubcap. I have caps for the front as just not in that pic. The front caps have to be modified for the hub. These wheels are good because you can get them with the correct size hole for the hubs.

88' FJ62

1. 1988 FJ62
2. Rocky
3. Big Blue
4. 155,500
5. 33x10.5x15 BF A/T's, looks to be 2-3 inch lift, custom bumpers (not overly stoked about those), pretty much stock from there.
6. Gonna be my daily

Just getting aquainted with Big Blue. Bought him sight unseen in the foothills of NC and had him shipped to the coast. After seeing several pictures and talking the dealer (came from a classic/unique car dealer) I went for it and I feel like I got pretty lucky. Well taken care of.... interior is pretty immaculate for a 25 year old vehicle.

My goal is to have this mug looking like Aaron's rig. I really like the look of his bumpers, chrome grille, and aluminum/chrome rims.

What do yall think? What's up with the steers on this rig??? They are bolted on so shouldn't be too terribly bad to take off.
