Hey ladies and gents..

First time reader and first time posted. Been reading bits and pieces on the forum for about 4 hours now haha!
But thought I'd start a new thread and get some fresh information.

I'm in Australia. And I'm looking for any information, steps taken and photos of anyone who's swapped out their old 60 series chassis for an 80 series chassis?

Whats involved etc...

I'm also doing a 6bt cummins conversion, I have the engine mounted on the chassis with gearbox, transfer and fuel tank.

I'm in the process of an extra cab ute chop too, so only really needing to know whats needed up front. Have measured the engine etc and that will all fit inside the sixty's engine bay. Wondering how the body will line up to the 80 chassis body mounting points.

I'm a heavy diesel mechanic by trade but fabrication isn't my strong suit.
Any and all information would be great appreciated!

Cheers in advance guys!

When I do it again, I will shorten at the rear control arm bracket. Mine took a lot of time lining up to get it within a 16th

4.7 inches out of the wheelbase

Why cut it if you are doing a ute? Keep the extra wheelbase. Am I missing something?
