It's almost a done deal. I was given a $100 deposit to hold my 60 for them until the remainder can be paid later this week. Younger couple with two young children that live in Edgewood.

******

Correction: Money is in the bank and title has changed hands. It's official! For those of you who were curious, I got $3,750 for it. I told the buyers about the club and they seemed interested so maybe I'll get to see the truck occasionally. The guy already owns a mini and is fairly knowledgeable about Marlin stuff. I invited them to the meeting this weekend at Elena Gallegos.

If this is correct, than the guy whom you are selling the vehicle to--his brother is a mechanic at American Toyota...I told him about your rig. That's cool that they want it....

Congrats. (hopefully).

Congrats, but I wouldn't count my chickens until they're hatched. ;) I didn't get excited when I sold my last rig until I did the title transfer and had the money in hand. :2cents:

Congrats Marc! so everything goes well, are we going to have another 80 in the club? Jon, no :meh:'s or 's! Or are still thinking of that hundy?

Dunno. Danise needs to be comfortable driving whatever we get so we'll look around a bit. Plus, I've got about $6K in price difference to make up so that will take a while to save up.

I'm not sure Danise could see over the steering wheel of a 100 [ducking]. Either way, good news that the 60 will hopefully no longer be in the stable.

Wooohooo, that's good news Marc.:bounce:

Scion XB here you come :flipoff2:

Marc -

Great news! Keep us posted on the transaction. It will be interesting to see what the next 4WD will be for you and your family.

Evan

Very good news indeed!

This is the time to shop. I'm guessing that if someone owns a soccer-mobile 80 or 100 that they'll be willing to part with it for a bit less now that the snow is gone for another 9 months or so.

Dan

Just for you Marc, looks really nice...

1998 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 Green, Auto, Tan Interior,

Daisy

Yep. Saw that one already on AutoTrader. I'll probably go check it out, drive it, have the wife drive it later this week. It's right on my way home. Wish it wasn't green though. My '99 Taco was exactly the same color. I loved the color, but only for the first 30 minutes after I washed it before it looked dirty again. My 60 is the perfect color for NM. You can't even tell it's dirty until you've got lots of red Jemez mud caked on it.

I imagine the middle row does fine. I could just reserve the rear seats for my in-laws.

If she drives a 100 you'll never get her back in an 80. The V8 and the IFS and the additional room and luxury of the 100 makes it much more comfy for the wife.

... and did I mention the V8?

-Mike-

Are you referring to the V8 that has 320 lb-ft of torque?

I worry about all the things you mentioned. I'm also thinking I might not mention the increased safety features of the 100 such as improved on-road handling, more airbags and VSC in recent years, probably better crash protection for occupants with crumple zones.....

For what you sold the 60 for you should be able to get a decent 80.

Title changed to reflect current status.

Thanks Ron. I'll probably take you up on that offer.
