so I went to recover my rear seat today got all new cover was going to add some thin foam well my luck upon removing factory cover I found that when my smart thinking of leaving seat out in bed of my truck for 8 months before I put it back in it got rained on a lot and rusted out the backrest pan if anyone has rust free part help me out please

They all have surface rust on them. They weren’t painted from the factory.

If yours has actual holes in it, that’s a problem. If it’s just covered in surface rust, wire wheel it down and coat it with some rust paint.

X2, All the metal in the seats is super prone to rusting. 8 months wet may have made is very rusty. But try to determine if it's not compromised. Surface rust can be knocked off, then spray some paint on. My seats frame innards were also rusty from being inside the vehicle for 30 years.
