Ahh Man, I take off for a few days and all he*! breaks loose. :bang:

I'll be back in a few days so you can put me to work. Looks like plenty of space for me to sit and work rather than leaning on my gimp sticks for the next month or so.
:D

I'll try and grab my notcher from mr butler for u. To go with the bender stuff

Finally had time to work on Foo this weekend. Good friends came over on Friday and we welded up the rear tailgate, so it is lined up perfect. worked great. Ended up using stainless on the outside and found some rod that fit the gap perfect inside and tacked it together.

Today I cut off the roof.

If there is any doubt, I believe we have passed the point of no return.

started working on how to get the tube of the rollbar integrated with the sides.

Got a local friend and TLCA member working on getting some more tubing, and hope to borrow the benders tomorrow.

I received the paint samples from monstaliner. Looking at orange and the army green combo. Anyone have ideas?

Progress on metalwork- first up is to get rid of the channel that the rear slider windows went into. cutting them out in small sections, beating the metal and welding the gap. Also working on the passanger side to alter the top transition to what will be the new rollbar. Changing the bodyline to fit the change. In the 3rd pic you can see the stock look, and the 4th pic, how we kept the line up. I also cut out the rain rail and welded that seam up.

We also cleaned up all the holes from the old fender trim and started welding up those holes.

Figured that I have about 24 feet of seams and area that I will need to get rid of sharp edges or clean up the body lines. about 3 feet done now, so quite a bit left to do.

Cheers,

Designing the tube doors now. Anyone have an idea for rear view mirrors that either mount on the tube doors, or on the front fenders?

Thanks,
