Depending on how involved you want to get one could build an a pillar hoop with roll cage clamps and drill a hole thru the dash to take it to the floor. Saves the removal of headliner and would give full internal cage protection. Ill try to remember where i saw those. I think poly performance?

so are you gonna cut the roof right behind the window frame, if so you could make a few tabs to bolt the cage halo bar and window frame together so it is more solid and then put a soft top from the window to back. i will try to draw up something to get my point across. pictures work much better sorry the rambling lolololo

Let me strip the interior, then lay it out with tape of my thoughts....

Here is my thoughts for "melting into" the stock front window.

Great question, I'd like a set if they are out there!

looks like Marlin sold some before made by JCB. I cannot find information on them.

I am looking for parts to make a set. Plunger spring pin is the first piece of that puzzle. I found some at McMaster Carr, but pricey.

I have new blades for my sawzall. You say the word and I will be there to cut on it. I think this is going to turn out awesome! Wish I didn't have to go to Phoenix the same time as SMORR.

WHat is the best way to get the sounddeadner things off? Or do I just truckliner over them?

you will be at the point of no return shortly, always fun to watch these builds

Very true....

Trying to figure out where to cut. I am willing to give up the sunroof opening, but one last thought. I recall aftermarket sunroofs that would pop up then you could do something then pull them out altogether. Maybe that is a better route.

I also recall someone building a 45lv or a 55 that was installing a HUGE sunroof that he got from the salvage yard. I was thinking it came from a minivan, maybe a Mazda or something. I wonder if it would pop out? Maybe do this and leave the metal back to above the passenger door rear pillar.

I realized that the big work now will be to make all of the tube doors, as I cannot find a vendor.

Or, you can come over and play with the plasma cutter. :hillbilly::hillbilly:

best way to get the sound deadening off is freeze it and hit it with a rubber mallet. i did mine in Feburary up in Ontario, but you could get some dry ice.

"Cool" idea. :grinpimp:

or just use the bed liner stuff right over the top.
thats how i would do it. but not sure how it would stick

when are you starting the cage? it maybe be worth while to build the cage now before you line the tub so you you dont damage it or anything.

building cages is the best part of the build i think. i totaly love building them. before you start i would encourage you to try getting one of these tubing notchers and give it a whirl because hole saw/ grinding out each notch is a slow process. i am buying one of these bad boys before i return to the states.

Williams Lowbuck Tubing Notcher http://www.lowbucktools.com/notcher.html

and get some of these gusset too. i love the look when completed.

cheers
