My son (11 year old) is designing them now. I gave him cardboard cutouts of the hinge points and the striker point. All else is his decision -- well maybe with some guidance from me.

Will see what he does.

This morning a "FOO" waterjet design was in them.

I really like the striker that the metal tech doors for the fjc has. I wonder where they found that?

Used Google sketchup. someone data mapped an 80. Could not figure out how to do the lower doors, but you get the idea.

Huge progress today

Got most of the rough edges welded up today!!! I am going to paint the roll bar that's going inside the frame tube, Then weld it in place.

Wow, that is a bad picture of the weld. Have to take that off... Anyway, the two main runs of rollbar got welded in today, and we bend our first pipes that will be along the roof. New member rockstate came over and helped measure and bend some of the 1.75 tube. Thanks.

We made a second clone of the pipe, for the second tube, think I should make one more, then need to make the front cross pipe out of 1.5 inch material to tuck up a little better.

My good buddy that broke his leg left a wheelchair that he uses in the shop and I found it quite a comfortable workspace while bending pipe.

Using plama cutter to cut arches, and working pretty good. Not as nice as a notcher, but really fast and easy.

Found it yesterday. Looked to be in good condition. The gasket was loose, but you can glue it back on.

got the paint fixed at the bottom to orange.

I like it. now to figure out color of white. monsaliner has white and then some off white beige colors. Thinking pure white right now, but need to order quick.

Wow, that white sample on Monstaliner's site is pretty brutal. I think you may be on to something with the Killer Beej rather than white. Which orange is your favorite?

Burning pip

We were able to install the pipe we bent earlier this week. Fit really nice. First pipe I have ever bent, so I am really proud (read surprised) of how it turned out.

You almost cannot see daylight between it and the roof. I think I will weld it together to stop any vibration.
