It ain't much, but at least something is in the works. If anyone has time to sell, I'll buy some.

Coming from the Jeep world I saw/read on more mix'n'match drivetrains than I can remember. Advance Adapters and others were a big part of making these dreams into realities. Is there a Toyota equivalent specialist?

There is no real players in the Land Cruiser world, unless your in the older 60 series and eariler. Still nothing like Jeeps until you get out of the Land Cruiser world, then you get a few more options.

If anyone cares, this is approximately what a chopped down A343F bellhousing looks like with a plate that matches the A750 profile and bolt pattern... Other picture is a A442F bellhousing milled to the approximate length to get a plate cut, welded and then final machined.

Next step is to measure the profile of the bellhousing at the cut, machine a plate and start gluing parts together.

This is an interesting approach. Are you willing to share any of the dimensions you have taken for the bellhousing bolt patterns? I'd really like to know a few measurements.

I'm particularly interested in the length from bellhousing mounting surface to transfer case mounting surface for both the 80 series A343F and 100 series A750F (overall length)

So I'm back at it. Currently have the adapter doodled up along with a piece of 1-3/4" plate ready to be whittled out. Looks like it's going to be approx 1.65" longer. Before I settle on a length, does anyone have a picture of the factory transmission crossmember? Mine is long gone. Looking to see if it's possible to land the Trans mount holes behind the original, yet still on it.

Would like a picture of it with a tape measure or scale running front to back. This will be useful for others, I am going to modify mine.

Also big thanks to @Fj80oregon for offering to loan me an engine for mockup. Luckily modeled backwards from the transmission, and 3d printed what I need for now.

Next step is to print the adapters and check fitments, should get that done this weekend. If all looks good hopping to get the real adapter machined by the end of February/Middle March. All while saving pennies for a haltech to control everything.

...love the bow

Slow, but hoping to free up a machine in the next week to get the first side cut! Currently there is an adapter hiding in here somewhere.

Have most of the hardware, just struggling to find a valid Toyota number for M12x1.25~40mm long bolts with washers.

Found a couple numbers but they are not available. Am hoping to use as much factory hardware as possible.

Great work. I have a a442 1fz bell housing laying around. Would be nice to put it to use.

My junkyard 5sp tranny out of a '08 V8 4runner is sitting under snow and waiting for this thread to come up with a solution :bounce:

I think these are 45mm long.

These are 1fzfe-H151F bell housing bolts.
Also used on the transfer case extension housing - auto trans case junction

Toyota measures bolt length from underside of the head I believe.
Yuppers, that's how they do it. I need ~38mm under the lock washer.

Also just realized I can't add the length to the flange, it's the A750 bellhousing. I might need to revise the next version of the adapter to be 5mm thicker...
