Ah interesting, I've not seen any of his. I'll have to ask him.

Ya'll have cameras up there no? I can find pics of a few 7x rear bumpers of his but nothing integrated. Fwiw ExpOne has been building this design for Toyotas since 2006. If an earlier creation exists, cool.

Jason has been doing tube and box rear bumpers with multiple options for years. Ben (@fireball) had hime do one as documented on Mud at Buying a BJ74!!
Ben did a lot of CAD prep for the build. I provided Ben with transport from SEA to Chilliwack and had the pleasure of visiting Jason at the shop. I have both his sliders and belly pan on my 73. He has also done some nice exoskeletons to provide robust roof rack/storage without touching the FRP. Great product, great people, great value even before the impact of US$ 0.73 to the CDN$ 1.00.
Jason recently had a climbing fall so may be on light/limited duty while recovering, so be patient if you email him at cruisinoffroad@shaw.ca

Certainly familiar with Jason, we've run his sliders on quite a few 7x's and I've got a set here for the next project. I've just never seen the "swing arms tied to the rear doors like Cruisin' Offroad's bumper." other than the CAD of fireball's where he references our previously built bumper as an example.
Huh, perhaps I'm not seeing it. Again I'm totally familiar with Jason's work and his customized offerings. Just not the integrated rear swings as described. No biggy, I'll ask Jason direct down the road.

Luke's first bumper for @dieselbigot was many years ago for a CDN import 70 as below. He didn't get it into CAD at the time (didn't have CAD) so has not been able to respond to many, many requests from 70 Series owners. I volunteered to use my 73 as a Beta design platform so he could collect data, design and set up in CAD so he can fulfill production orders.

Not to take away from the 4x4 Labs thread, but here are quick photos of the setup. Both my swing arms are tied into the rear doors and work great. It is so super nice to not have any locks or latches. These were tested on a 4000 mile road trip that included some pretty serious terrain, with fully loaded arms and performed great. I have since ordered some black plastic spacers/bumpers to replace the white ones Jason put on. Other than that, I have no complaints. The LH swing arm attachment was actually made to be removable so that I could swap it b/w the 100 and the 74.

Right on, that did turn out quite nice. Had Jason done that style previous to yours or did you make him work for it?

He had done 70-series bumpers but none with the integrated opening mechanism. He played around with it for a bit, but it really works great. I really appreciated his willingness to work with someone like me who wanted to have a hand in designing the product he was making!
Ward, the Harrop E-locker is the best!!! Love it. Love not having air lines or needing a compressor. Plus you can't imagine how many conversations I've started with "Hi my name is Ben, and my BJ74 has a Harrop E-locker in the rear"
