@jcardona1 guessing that is what he means. Compare your pic how they follow the turn signals compared the first pic in the thread. By all means your bumper looks outstanding, but I will try and fit mine a little more "flat" like the first pic.

Yeah it could be a slight tweak in the design lately. Luke's template are always changing. When I picked up my kit he was talking about leaving more of the turn signal exposed for the guys that like to keep things stock. I also wanted to cover the turn signals as much as possible because of the LED lights I was planning on using. Nice thing with the DIY kits is you have plenty of wiggle room to adjust to your liking.

You could see how Bimrunner's bumper has a very slight angle to it also, not as pronounced as mine.

Sorry I don't follow...what do you mean by flat? How they slightly angle upwards towards the edge? That just seemed to be how they fit best against the base.

However you cut it (pun intended) they are great looking bumpers.

Got my old bumper off this weekend and installed on my friends 80. Cleaned up the threads and horns. Hopefully start stitching mine together next weekend.

Yeah if you go the DIY route you'll see there's lots of flexibility with where you put the wings. Because you can fill in the gaps with the welder and grind off the rest, there's no right or wrong way to do it. I knew ahead of time I wanted none of the turn signal to show. I was actually a little bummed when I found out he changed the design. I really liked how high the wings sat on his early version.

Had one delivered here a few weeks ago. Well built, nice welds. Actually a lot heavier than it looks. I wish the wings were about 1.5" lower, so it would not cover parking lamps , and it would look nicer if the wing tops were right below the bottom of the flakes. JMHO. John

A body lift will fix that parking light issue.

Most don't like body lifts.

As far as it being a turn signal, I haven't seen my rig with the blinker on. Just got it a few months ago.

I have a brand new bumper waiting to paint and install. Do I just bolt this up the the front two main brackets? Trying to figure out if I need to order new bolts?

Correct. The dryer needs nothing; it's just left out in the open.

On mine i ever so slightly bent the dryer canister inward towards the frame rail. Its aluminium tubing so it doesn't take much. I ran the Rubicon with A/C blasting and never had clearance issues ever. (Note: i was running 33"s!! ) On above Pic looks like Brimrunner did the same thing.

You can re-use the stock bolts. In my case I didn't have any and couldn't find an easy source local, so just order a "bolt" package from MetalTech. Comes with all off them. (Top, bottom, sides)

Yup, just clocked out the way, be careful not to kink and good to go.

You have a 4x4 labs bumper right? It should have came with all the mounting hardware needed. If not call them and they should make it right. In your depo headlight post one of you pics show the brackets for the old stock bumper still on, they need removed. The 4x4 labs will slide right on the fraim rails after you remove the old brackets

You'll use your old hardware for most of it. You may have to grab a few bolts on the front, but only if missing original hardware.
