Well it was raining pretty hard here last night in the LA area and all of a sudden I notice a really faint greenish light pulse on and off. Then off for awhile. Then it shone bright green but flickering the whole time. Nothing consistent. This lasted about 15 minutes then just stopped.

Thoughts? And yes I was in H2.

Check the wire for the 4WD switch on the transfercase. Could have a short.

Should be able to see it from under the truck. Green arrow points in the general area IIRC.

It runs up to the engine bay near the starter, should have a blue connector. The reverse switch has a white one.

Hope that helps!

i think you're on the right track. the 4wd indicator switch wires commonly get frayed right at the pressure switch. it's located on the passenger side of the nose cone.

if that's not the issue, then take apart the connectors and clean out any gunk that might have gotten in there. a dab of die-electric grease can't hurt.

hope that helps joey.

georg

ps: i have extra switches if you need one........
