I will add a towel to dry the tent in the mornings.

It did rain at night almost every night, not enough to matter but enough to get the tent wet. I'm OCD so i towel dried my RTT before folding it up every day. We will be hitting the trails right about the time the sun will come over the ridge so may not have an opportunity to burn off the moisture.e

Just got back to reality after three days of no service at Overland Expo. I enjoyed watching the live feed of registrations while driving through Blanding/Monticello UT on Friday. We have a great group of people coming this year! We are working on a few special things with our valued sponsors that I think are going to make something great even better!

Oh, and one big improvement that I am sure everyone will appreciate...we WILL have traditional porta-poties this year! No directions required. ;)

Huge thanks to Chris (@bluecruiser), Stan (@paflytyer) and Josh (@MtnAddict) for fielding questions and taking care of the thankfully few issues during registration. FYI, we do have a few spots left so feel free to tell a friend!

@jonharis We do appreciate the effort you guys have put towards getting this done. I can't begin to imagine trying to arrange something like this while still trying to maintain a grasp on everything else going on in one's life :D.. Props to y'all. ..

I'm really thinking about signing up for this. My friend that usually come with me to Moab etc. (99 4runner) want's to come along, but is concerned that's it's 100's only.

If we hurry up and register can we both join? For CM 2014, we drove out together he left his runner at camp and rode with me for all of the sanctioned and non sanctioned trail runs. I left Sunday AM and headed back to California and he went east to Denver and Ouray. He is dying to go back and I want to experience it myself.

Ouch, the form says it has reached the max. Bummer. Maybe I'll try for Rubithon or Land Cruiser Fest. I guess next year, I will have to jump on the bandwagon early. Have a great time all!

We have reached our maximum number of registered vehicles for this years event. However, as with most events being planned this far in advance, there are sure to be a few cancelations. We are keeping a list of folks who are still interested in participating, but cannot commit to registration yet.

In the event of a cancelation, we will use that list to offer the next position available. If you're even on the fence about going, we encourage you to add your name to the standby list. Contact us at info@100sinthehills.com or check the website for information.

Unfortunately, we strive to make this event exclusive to the 100 Series platform. Everyone is more than welcome to drive whatever they have to Ouray and camp, but the event and trail runs will be limited to the 100 Series Land Cruiser. We recommend the FJ Summit for anyone looking for a non-exclusive event in the same area.

There are some great updates and new info coming. We are also working on other events for 2014 and beyond. Check here often as well as www.100sinthehills.com and Facebook.

I went with a midland hand held for 2013 HIH... Something like $50 on amazon. Sucked without antenna... Couldn't get more than 4 or 5 trucks in either direction.

Now hooked up to 36" firestik with fire ring cable and works like a dream.

^^ I have the cobra 75 in mine with a 4' firestick antena. Very easy to mount in a non permanent way and as long as you don't forget it on it can be wired straight to the battery. I made a bracket to mount it behind the rear bumper.
Check rightchannelradio.com, that's where I got it last year and for a cb it satisfies me. Eventually I want to get into ham!

Thanks guys. I need to pick something up but don't need it as a permanent mount.

Are you running these off a 12volt outlet?

Yes, got one of these so that I still have some power in the center console. Ran it from that Aux output, and used some 3M Double Sided tape to slap it to the side. This way I can use it when I want, and stays inside the console 24/7.

IIRC, you've got a couple "VIP" spots saved... @Pearl470 is counting on that, assuming our present schedule holds :)
