Have a few additions to make to the truck for this trip and parts are on their way as I wright this!

There will be ample time for folks to plan for the registration date.

And by this do you mean "figure out how to bribe the organizers into letting you in?" :)

I wish PA had some more famous craft beers that I could use as a bargaining chip!

Registration is still a few weeks away. We are doing our best to make sure all the bugs are worked out. There will be ample time for folks to plan for the registration date.

Prior years attendees are given priority I assume?

Any update on when to register? I've already penciled in vacation for this so I want to make sure to register :D

Ok, here we are back in the Central Coast of California trying to get the house organized in between work and kids and on the back of my mind is the unknown registration date for this trip! Then mud goes down for a couple of days and leaves you wondering if anything is happening and you are missing it!
Any other braving the road from CA? Would be nice to get a few trucks together!
Also, I think I may be able to hit Moab after HIH for a couple of days. I know some of you are planing to do the same!

@Get outside A few guys from TX are actually hitting Moab after the HIH and I'm sure others are as well.. I would love to attend afterwards but not certain if I'm going to have enough time.

I'll be attending again...

We really want this to stay series specific. The FJ Summit is of course all Toyota (or Lexus) and is 2 weeks prior to 100s in the Hills. Because the Summit is in the same area and is open to all Toyotas, we feel a little bit better about keeping HIH a Series 100 only event. We hope everyone understands.
No worries...I'll take my ball and go home...:crybaby: Ha.

Wish I could join you guys. However, I will be out there from Atlanta the 14th-20th of July running the trails with the Fam. Probably not going to attempt Black Bear without another truck there.

Those of you considering Moab/White rim after Ouray.
Last year after the event my wife and I stayed one more day and camped just outside of telluride at some beautiful alpine lakes before we went to Moab. I'm wide open on when i have to be home. Do we want to head right to white rim Sunday morning, do some sandflats rec area trails before, or spend some extra time in Telluride.

Another possibility is to reserve some campsites with the RV people at Dead Horse Point. its not exactly primitive camping, and it is with RVers but the views are breathtaking.

The start of the white rim t rail can be seen below.

EDIT* I just checked on permits and they are not even available to buy yet for the time we are looking to be there. I will keep people informed once they become available.

I'll definitely be down for a few days after Ouray, whether it be the trail that Jon is talking about, above trip to Moab, whatever. ANYTHING that I can do to avoid going back to North Louisiana...

Come on guys, give us a hint! Is it April, May, sometime later or what? You are killing me here! I'm coming up with a case of anxiety over here!

As of now, I am planning on taking the entire week off after the HIH event to spend some extra time in the area. Also thinking maybe a Grand Canyon visit (my son learned about it in school earlier this year and has developed a fascination with seeing it....we'll see how he feels about it in August or if a new fascination has developed by then). It will be the first time in a long time that I will have time off with no schedule that I have to follow and no particular place to be. Can't wait....hope it actually works out that way.

Love to see all the excitement guys...we are very close to having a registration date. The website is being tested now. We are at within 15 days from opening it up....Thanks. Think mid-April. We will keep this thread updated when we have the date, exactly.

Looking at trying to make this work. Ouray is beautiful and a great place to visit. Might include a few days in Breckenridge along with it.
