Can't wait for this trip and it's confirmed now, our family will be relocating back to Cali due to work transfer!
We love Colorado very much but it is what it is. Sometimes you got to do what you didn't really plan for and put the family as top priority and that's what we are doing now.
That being said, I'll most likely be doing the drive solo or have a fj40 buddy hop in the hundy and come along!
I also want to see who else is coming from over there and possibly do a caravan.
I'll be leaving from Pismo Beach area going south on 101 then towards Vegas and up.
Will see what happens

We have two trucks confirmed caravan from Houston including another one (newtrayback) from New Braunfuls for a grand total of 3. Let's coordinate closer to the event and caravan together.
Duc, Just FYI: I will be leaving July 26th and will be making a couple stops in New Mexico before this event, so don't count on me for the caravan.
Also, if anyone wants to go to Moab after the event, my wife and I are planning to do the white rim trail (3 days of overlanding) and then who knows what before heading on the the Pacific Northwest.

I am penciling in Moab since it's only 4 hours away. My vacation time should be looking good by then to take the rest of the week off.

That would be awesome.. When you fellas decide on a route, let me know and I could meet up with you guys.. We could go via Amarillo to Albuquerque on I40 unless you guys wanna straight shoot it through Lubbock and Clovis.. Amarillo would only take a few minutes (10 or so) longer to Ouray and is only an hour South of me while Lubbock is about 3....

Engine ER...I did a vehicle supported, group mtn. bike ride around White Rim years ago, it's awesome. Do you have a permit yet? If so, I may be interested in joining your group as well!
For everyone who is planning to caravan to/from 100's in the Hills, it might be a good idea to post up about a new thread started for that run. That avoids too much back and forth on "let's meet here and eat" stuff on the main page. Here's what I did for last years run from Denver. We started with 5 and ended up picking up Griffin and 2000UZJ along the way.

Why must the MODs move this to events? This is a 100-specific event and IMO should be in the 100 section. We're also having this discussion regarding classifieds...I am only interested in 100 series stuff and generally don't browse the rest of the website as there is too much content. Wish they wouldn't move stuff out of the 100-series forum!!!

Are 200s invited this year? I hearted a rumor at the FJ Summit. I have a new to me 100 too, but thought I would ask.
I'll be heading up there, we can caravan to ouray!
We really want this to stay series specific. The FJ Summit is of course all Toyota (or Lexus) and is 2 weeks prior to 100s in the Hills. Because the Summit is in the same area and is open to all Toyotas, we feel a little bit better about keeping HIH a Series 100 only event. We hope everyone understands.
Is the sign up date coming up? Do we have a specific day set for it?
