Where is the rubbing? Firewall, frame, body mount?

A lot of people seem to really like those.
I believe it's the frame, feels like inside/rear of the wheel well, and it's pretty light. It has not been an issue on any trails since I've had them for the past couple years.

Good to know. My current wheels are 17x8 with 0 offset so close to yours. Hopefully similar or less rubbing considering the specs.

I don't think I have as much lift as you though. My Ironman FCP kit was the 2-3" lift but it has settled since new. Hopefully won't negatively impact whether there's rubbing or not.

I run 35x11.5x17 Nittos on -10 offset wheels. With these narrower tires I think I would go zero offset if I had to do it again, though -10 works pretty well really. I just think zero would be slightly better.

Mine settled some too, so I cranked them back up. I have the Ironman adjustment wrench if you wanna swing by and borrow it :p

I had 35x12.50r17 Yokohama MTs on -10 off set with zero issues. Just get a BMC and a good alignment and you’re good to go. I also had the Ironman uca.

I'm going to sound entirely naive but I didn't realize they can be cranked back up. Is there an instruction manual somewhere for this or is it just compress spring, adjust position, done?

Yes stock LCAs. Ironman basic lift kit (2.5") with their UCA. Good alignment and aggressive BMC got me to run 35s with no issues. I did the same to our 4runner to run 35" KO2s.

Yup, I have a lot of weight and my suspension has settled in the 7 years I've had it, so I'm guessing you should be okay considering your new tires a wee bit narrower than mine..

Forgot to mention that having the alignment caster moved forward helps!

Sounds like I need to find a shop that can do a kickass alignment

Down in my area, it seems most off road shops that work on Toyota's, since ALL Toyota's have IFS, all know about the caster forward trick.
Check in your area for an off road shop that does Toy's.

We don't really even have off-road shops around here. Few and far between, closest ones to me that are worth going to you have to travel to get to.

They are adjustable. It is a bit of a chore to do it without removing them from the vehicle, but I have done it successfully a couple times. You need the Ironman wrench that fits the holes on the adjustment ring, and WD40 on the shock threads helps a lot. I used a big pipe wrench for additional leverage, and of course jacked the vehicle up so the wheels were off the ground.

I ended up going with 285-75r17s
