45 or 55?

55's are rare. 45's are even rarer. Old 45 wagons are even harder to find. I really like the look of the 45 pickup or flatbed series. Long or short, they are cool. But the 45 series wagon does little for me. They look more like antique school buses to my eye. All the specific parts would be very hard to track down.

Generally speaking: if you like the old classic cruiser wagons you can't wrong with a nice 76 or so FJ55: it has front discs, 2F, and a great tranny...

I think the 45 would have slightly more room in it. But that is just a guess from pictures and things. It definitely looks roomier.

Along the same idea, does the rear seat fold forward to make a flat floor and if so what is the length from folded seat to tailgate?

jon, the rear seat in the 55 folds forward, and there is about six feet between the front seat and the tailgate
