I've had one of their harnesses, use cation they are not the best quality

1,199 for automatic

Best bet is A doing it yourself or B sourcing someone who has the experience.

While at the Barrett Jackson I was able to view some of the EROD motors hoping the headers would be tight to the block. nope...

Another header option. GM 19302762. This is an "upgraded" header for the LS3.

Another view out of the GM performance catalog

I have read several of the swap threads and was wondering what people are doing with the crossmembers for the trannys and how far back the engines are being placed.

It wasn't really specified before, but your trans that you're using, is it an awd version? Im just curious which one is needed for the adapter plate. I know the 4l60 needs a 2wd version, but nothing was specified for the 6l80e.

Thanks.

6l80e 4wd or 2wd doesn't matter

Any updates? Anymore drive time?:popcorn::steer:

Updates have been lacking due to lack of progress unfortunately.

This project is on hold as I scramble to get the house I'm building into sheetrock.

I'm getting married at the house in July, so it has to be done by then. Nothing like a little added pressure...

I apologize for the delays. Believe me, I am dying to get the 80 done and driving!

So with the 6l80e you can use 4wd or 2wd with the marks?

Correct. IIRC, on the 2wd you have to cut the output shaft down a bit, but that's about it. The 6L80 utilizes a bolt-on tailhousing for 2wd and a bolt on adapter for the t-case for 4wd. In both cases, the main case of the transmission is the same. You simply remove the stock tailhousing/t-case adapter, trim the output shaft if necessary, and bolt on the mark's adapter.

Thank you good to know. I hope you can get this project back up and running as this is something I will be doing in the not so fare future. I have a 91 and the only thin that is different is the chassis post I believe.
