And where do you think that dirty fuel came from?

The tank of course.....
It may be time to run it low and clean the tank. mine did about the same thing and I couldn't believe the crap, including rust, that came out of it....

Yeah, I think I located the problem....

What do you think?! :p

I put a cheap in-line filter in its place.....

and will run it until I see if more **** works its way out. Then I'll put a new stock filter in (I do like stock equipment).

Anyway, she runs like a top now, so I'm gonna strap on the plow blade and get ready for the snow....they're predicting a foot to two feet over the next couple days.

Thanks to everyone for the help. As always, you guys rock....
That is good to hear, you deserve a break.
Last year I stoped counting at about 26 snow strorms, 30" and up , 2' and under is just a tease.

nspctr1 - Yes, definitely need to drop the tank and clean it....when the weather improves.

Vicm - I agree with you....kinda been through a lot with the truck lately. Hopefully things will smooth out from here.....fingers crossed.

I plowed for several hours last night (early morning, really) and the truck ran okay, but seems to have lost top end power and is now rough at idle. I'm betting that some of the junk got past the fuel filter and into the carb. Anyone have any other ideas of what could cause this?
