OK I've been looking through the FSM and pictures and cannot figure out how the alternator mounts at the top with the pivot bolt. There is also a tension bolt that was on the alternator but I took it off but it seems not to be the right one. Looking on the pictures for parts at Toyota And Spector there seems to be one bolt that mounts from the back and does anybody have a picture of how the alternator is mounted that would be appreciated thank you. I'm also not sure if I have the right bracket that's on the car.

This is where I'm at right now

You're using the wrong bolt through the bracket, to the alternator. Should look like this...

Best pic I can get, with it installed. Notice the special bolt that connects the alternator to the tensioner/adjuster.

The photo above is exactly what I have, too. I started writing this before @malteserunner posted (nice photo, btw).
The bolt you have in the top is too short. There's a barrel nut attached to a small flange with a hole that slips onto the threaded part of the bolt where it sticks out past the alternator mount hole. I have a short piece of rubber hose that helps keep it from falling off the back of the bolt. The long bolt (that's not in your photo) goes through the hole in the bracket to the right in your photo and threads into the barrel nut. As you turn that long bolt clockwise, you rotate the alternator away from the engine and put tension on the belt. Once you have the correct tension, tighten the top mount bolt to secure it in place. Do this before adjusting the next belt. It's a sequence, just sit back and think about it. It'll come to you. Whoever installed the belts on my FJ80 for the PO screwed it up, the long bolt wasn't even in the barrel nut, the power steering pump was rotated way too far up in the air, and the belts were all too loose.

OK this is what I have and by the way thank you guys for the info. But this whole barrel nut and set up on here doesn't seem like they are the correct bolts and win going to Toyota and looking at their parts catalog it only shows the one bolt and it comes from the back of the alternator

Looks like your bracket may be a bit bent. But, it looks like all the necessary parts are there. Yes, that bolt has a lot of threads.
Was there a page for the alternator bracket in the parts catalog?
SOR uses Toyota parts diagrams and it shows all the parts on the page of alternator brackets.

You know what this is what I get for going to fast and being sick I over looked. on sor where it says alternator bracket and there it is what I'm looking for. And I was at toyota today and could have ordered the parts too. Oh well. But thank you and to everyone that chimed in and helped thank you.

So I ordered the bolt that's needed from sor. And this is what is sent.

It's the right one but how is that barel nut supposed to fit on? The hole/eye little bracket that's welded to the barel nut is to small to fit on the bolt. And then from @malteserunner pic it doesn't look like the same type bolt. Also the pic of the bolt from sor looks like that the tip is tapered or not threaded.
