Does anyone know what filament brand and color most closely matches the blue/gray color some 80's have? I've tried overture space gray PETG but it's not quite right.
Could you get some comparison pictures posted so people can see what you need ti match. The filament and the printed version of the color? That keeps people from trying the wrong colors.

This is the filament I used: https://www.amazon.com/OVERTURE-Fil...8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

Pic of a console I printed:

It's not too far off, but hoping there's something even closer.

What is the plan for that console? That looks interesting.

Very cool. Thanks for posting the link to the STL! Hopefully once done you will post some pictures.

This is FormFutura ApolloX (their ASA formula) in gray. It's not perfect, but the color is closer than some of my more-faded panels! I've heard that ASA can be troublesome to print, but I just ran Bambu's generic profile and I think it prints easier than PETG. I have a X1C though, so it's enclosed.

This is damn near perfect, thanks for sharing!
Are you in the EU? I don't see a US vendor to order from. I would be buying and using PETG (my printer is not enclosed).

Nope, US. I got it from Amazon quite a while back (4 year old ASA seems to print just fine), but it doesn't look like they supply it in the US currently. Bummer, because I really like it. I don't know if FF's PETG is similar, color-wise. I know different plastics can respond differently to dyes, so there's no guarantee. As for the enclosure, I wouldn't be afraid to print in a cardboard box for the results. Get it started, double check the first layer and pop the box over it.

Looks like these guys have it for too much money.

Also, it looks like the manufacturer will sell direct. If I can't find a more available substitute, I might wind up biting the bullet and just buying a big spool from them and damn the cost. The sell an 8 kilo spool... I probably wouldn't ever need to buy again, just respool it and vacuum seal it myself with desiccant. Then again, how many Landcruiser interior parts do I need?

I'm going to buy a roll of their iron grey PETG, test it and report back on the match: https://formfutura.com/product/easyfil-epetg/

Someone from their co responded and said their iron gray PETG is the same shade as the ASA you shared.

He said the pain code is Ralcode 7011, so keep an eye out for other filaments that have this color, there seems to be all kinds of filament options. But seeing as you had good success with this brand I'm going to try it.

Nevermind, shipping is $63 no thank you lol.

Ralcode 7011 translates to 555D61 in hex color code... I notice more manufacturer's use that than the Ralcode.

Also, this page is the gray page for a big database of filament colors. He doesn't have that exact shade, but I may send him a sample, just to help out.

Just got my Bambu X1C a month ago. Decided I needed a mount for my Baofeng UV-5R and threw together this switch blank mount for it. Printed in ABS-GF.

Hey all. Here's some stuff I designed (3ds Max. I'm a game developer/artist/tech artist). I'm curious what filament colors/brands people are using? I saw that the Oak interior can be painted 'bronze' to match, but I haven't seen any other info on the dark grey, light grey, or the off-white (cream maybe?) color these interiors have.

I'm also designing an overhead console that deletes the sunroof controls, houses a 12 gang control panel, a cb and has swivel map lights. I'll post that when the design is further along.
Thank You

Hey, you're the one that created the rear step clips I just remixed and uploaded as extended versions. Thank you!

Appreciate the design and upload! Im just wondering if you've tried this over rough terrain? I printed one out as Ive also been looking for somewhere to mount my UV5R. It seems to stick out quite far from the dash and wondering if the weight of the baofeng will be too much for it. I am thinking specifically the legs that go into the dash wont be enough to hold it in place over bumpy roads. Ill give it a test myself but wont be able to get out until a couple weeks from now. Anyways, thanks again for sharing :)
