3B water pump (4 Viewers)

Hello,

My 1982 BJ42 has sprung a coolant leak at the water pump.

I found this pump:
Water Pump, 81-88 BJ4# 60 FJ7# B 3B 13BT DSL With Fan Clutch

Any other pump or part supplier I should consider before placing an order? (I just emailed them asking if it comes with a gasket.)

Though AISIN is likely the OEM part manufacturer for this part, it is always wise to check with the dealer for a price comparison.

There were at least three different water pumps used from 1981-1987. Make sure you measure yours from the head mounting surface to the clutch/fan mounting surface to ensure you get the right one.

Thanks for the replies, I was waiting to get the pump before I posted an update.

I noticed the gasket was damaged a little during shipping. The crease isn't near the coolant holes, do you think it will cause leaks?

You should be able to get a gasket from a dealer - I think I paid about $13. Better than having to re-do it all after you find out it leaks.
