I don't have a 3b, but installed an Isuzu 4BD2 in my 60. In regards to using the Ford V6 engine mounts with a diesel, most designers of items like this are trying to deal with a engine weight and vibration range that is somewhat narrow.
Does a 3b weight about the same as the V6? The Isuzu 4BD2 weigh's about 50 pounds more than the 2f with 2 fewer cylinders.
Most gas engines weight substantially less than diesels.
The vibration will be different, with the diesel shacking a lot more. Torque loads may be about the same overall, but I'm not sure of that.
I would think finding a diesel motor mount would be the best plan.

Sounds like your saying that engine mounts are designed around the harmonics of the engine. And I would agree, use the isolator that was made for the motor, but, this isolator was used on ford V6's and has had good feedback from the cummins crowd. I would guess the 3B to be a little lighter then the isuzu, although diesel engines usually weigh more, I find the 3B to be not too heavy, Ill have to look up the numbers but I suspect its lighter then a 2F. I bet ya the bare block without crank accesories or head would be around 200-250 lbs.
Not that this is an ideal method of identifying proper mounts, but applying force to both my old 3B mount and the anchor mount I can see the anchor is softer. I will use it and report back as to how it feels.
