With the use of a good cutting torch and sawsall, the sky is the limit. 44's would be reachable.

I read that you want to keep the AHC...If you want to make 37's useful and effective off road a body lift alone is not going to cut it. Plus the extra strain put on CV's, steering racks and bearings. For driving on the road re-gearing would be critical. In Aus 37's have become very popular of late but not many ifs around doing it though probably because of the above mentioned problems. As many have mentioned it is possible but the drive-ability of the rig is going to be heavily compromised offroad which will far outweigh the benefits of having 37's. All IMO that grey rig looks amazing in a picture though!

I’ve gotten over the hesitation to cut the fenders and firewall. 2” removed from fender all around and 2” from the firewall right behind the wheel. Then a small progressive slice cut out running up from there. Patch welded in and then we removed the TB to sit the front end on the bump stops. Turns lock to lock w/ about a fingers width gap at the tightest spots and clears the frame at full turn. Considering that the bump stops will compress further when used I will put a small spacer in to reduce up travel. Planning 1/2”.
...and don’t get too excited, this is still a long ways out from actual testing/breaking everything that everyone says will break next.

They say the same thing in the 80's running 40's threads... and it's slowly stopped being said for Toy minis running 40's+... things will break anyway, and it's the nature of our sport to fix it :meh:

Good on you for going for it. Can't wait to see how it works out.

Well my first day trying to break stuff w/ 37’s and tear low-hanging body panels proved unsuccessful. Played all day in the snow, with a few rowdy hill climbs included and still came home without anything broken. Just a huge smile on my face.

I was sure the mall was at the top of this hill...

This is the 315 Duratrac pictured. 37” barely fits.

We'll also need many more pics of your rig from all sides and angles. And lots more pics of the areas you cut and patched. I'm looking to follow in your footsteps. Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for posting that pic, and agreed with @reznunt. Long term goal, this is the way I'd like to mod my truck. Very tasteful, conservative cutting. It's just hard to pull the tools out while it's my daily... but you got over that!

I am slowly working towards this.

Already have the 5.29s and transfer case gears.

Need to sort out how much body lift I can get away with with the DT headers and attack the firewall.

Please post more pics and info of your setup MTKID.
