Any input on the KM2 Vs the old BFG MT on road noise? I know all of these are noisy but my BFG MT's I run now are a hell of a lot quieter than the radial swampers I had before that. Those new Goodyears look pretty bad-ass. What do you guys think about an 8" vs 10" rim with a 12.5" tire? I have bead locks so bead protection isn't an issue here.

I would say my km2s are not loud at all

Running Pro Comp Extreme Mud for almost to two years, mainly highway driving. They are a better ride than my older BFG AT's. They don't roar on the highway either. I was skeptical at first, but I have been really happy with these tires and would purchase again. They also mimic the MTR tread pattern.

We couldnt get the MT/R to balance to save our lives. Ended up running ATZ's like'em. Test vehicle hasnt rotated in 10k miles and hasnt shown any bad wear. I have a set of 38x15.5x18 ATZ's waiting to find their way onto the FJ.

I like bfg's but have run mtr's and had them siped. The siped mtr's had about the best traction i've ever had, but the sidewall was soft for heavy loads or towing.

As mentioned above, running stock gears with 37s i going to KILL your gas mileage. As a fellow cruiser head I know that does not mean much. I really love my Goodyear MTRs and would like to have a set of the new Kevlars for my 4runner. Like any mud tire the get noisy with wear.
