That is interesting…how much room to spare between the tire and various parts of the body front, back, and side to side?I also have one in my stock spare location, but it's a used one with 1/2 tread. I didn't try a new one with full tread.
I may not be the best comparison case. I have the OEM ROW 2nd tank installed (11.8 gal), which pushes the tire mount crossmember down quite a bit (2+ inches). The lower side of the spare is almost to the bottom of the rear diff. I didn't initially consider that the subtank would make me kind of a unique case. @ARKginger likely a better comparison case.That is interesting…how much room to spare between the tire and various parts of the body front, back, and side to side?
No, you’ll rub the panhard. I had a 295/70/18 in spare location and it just barely fitWas able to fit 35x10.5 rt in the stock spare location on my 2009 LX570

@tbisaacs So you're saying I'll have issues with this?View attachment 3115855
Pretty sure I pulled it as much as it was going to go. I'll run it this way and see if I run into any issuesDepends if you are rubbing or not - definitely would flex it out and see where it rubs clean on the bar. If you pull on the spare while hoisting it up you can also move a few mm away from panhard.
I too have been extremely impressed by these tires road manners and noise after installing on my 1998 TLC.installed the Kendas. 35x10.5x17 with Alphaequipt command wheels in the +15 offset. I added the front oem strut spacers while at it. Lots of trimming by the installers but may have been more impatience than heat gun and molding. Currently got a rub on the pinch weld when turning left and compressing wheel well. May take a hammer or cut some more of the flap. TBD. In the meantime, pretty nice road manners, controlled up to 90-100 mph due to unforeseen emergency test.

Pictures?Alrighty, another update for me:
Installed the 17x8.5 et40 evo corse: zero rubbing. Incredible. So for those of you venturing into the unknown realm of 35’s, seems like 25-40 offset is a good range to aim for. No promises … but I’m stoked.
Those look great, but the fitment issues with the 200 series and the 100 series are different for sure. KDSS rub on the cruisers being the biggest issue.

I had a 2000 hundred series in that same color and loved it. I was torn between building it out, and buying a 200 and chose the 200 because at the time I was towing a bit, and the 100 had high mileage (327k when I sold her). Yours looks almost just like I would have wanted to build mine. Nice work!
Wow just realized I’m in the 200 series chapter … oops.
Lol all good. I keep waiting to see that 200 pics.Wow just realized I’m in the 200 series chapter … oops.
Looks great! Aside from the OEM strut spacers, which I believe are 10mm, any lift?installed the Kendas. 35x10.5x17 with Alphaequipt command wheels in the +15 offset. This one is the LC, just the strut spacers, no lift.Looks great! Aside from the OEM strut spacers, which I believe are 10mm, any lift?
I am waiting on my wheels to come in and will be installing asap. My wheels are 17” Methods with a 35 offset. Having an LX, I plan to just do a sensor lift, heat gun, flap removal. Hoping I get away from hammering the pinch weld or anything with the lift + offsets.
Did you happen to end up a shiny spot on the panhard from rubbing the spare? Or is it moving freely and not dragging on the spare?Pretty sure I pulled it as much as it was going to go. I'll run it this way and see if I run into any issues
