The dream build for many including me is to slap on a set of 35 inch tires. My question is what must be done?

What I have: 0 offset beadlocks, I understand it'll make tucking the wheels in the fender difficult. 2.5 kings suspension, with 2 or so inches at the back and a but more at the front to level the car.

What I plan on adding for 35s: New wider front fenders, lots of cutting in the front and a possible kdss relocation. Regearing (from 4.30 to 4.5, 4.30s came stock with the 4.6lv8 heritage edition, the non heritage editions get 3.90s). That will hopefully take care of the power loss.

Ive seen people call 34.4 inch tyres 35s and 34.8 inch tyres 35s as well. Either sizes are fair play for me as long as it fits without rubbing. Artic trucks puts 35.4 inch tyres I believe and we have done their mod in the past on a previous lc200 but they chop the rear fenders, and unlike the front fenders, the rear fenders cannot be replaced, hence the mod couldn't be reversed.

So My question; is whether the 35s can fit in the rear without cutting the rear fender nor rubbing? Would appreciate the feedback of Land cruiser owners who have done such a project.

too bad you don't have one of the 200s equipped with AHC. A few places you'll need to checkL
1) the front driver KDSS bracket
2) rubbing on your UCAs
3) as you stated, rear wheel wells.

Tire Manufactures will vary. I ran a 305/70/18 BFG KO2 that was the same size as my 295/70/18 Micket Thompsons

Go 37s. You know you wanna.

Doable! As linked above.

Can you clarify if UAE cruisers have KDSS? I think they don't and that'll make your job easier.

You're right that the 0 offset is going to be your biggest challenge to making things fit. It will also depend on how wide of a tire you're looking to fit. Doesn't mean it can't, just that you'll have to deal with clearancing on the fender/body side more. Both front and rear. The tire will also swing more hitting the leading edge of the rocker. May need a body lift to help.

That’s what I was thinking, but he specifically said “2.5 kings” 🤷🏻‍♂️

Actually we remove the air suspension here (if that's what AHC is). We need performance
suspensions for the dunes and the stock stuff doesn't cut it for more extreme trips.

Would love too but then I'd have to start worrying about the COG and other aspects.

They do have KDSS.Yes it's more work with KDSS but its a neat feature worth keeping imo. The width of a tire isn't a big concern, as we air down to 8psi and the tire becomes flat regardless. Also with UCA rub, does it apply to aftermarket UCAs as well? Running a total chaos UCA

I meant the 2.5 kings suspension setup which gave about 2 or so inches of a lift all around.

35's look great on the 200. But if you're looking for functionality you don't really "need" them. All depends on what you're building it for.

You probably didn't have AHC and KDSS....it would have been one or the other, regardless of if you removed the hydraulic shocks and accoutrement. That is to say, If you did have AHC, you mostly likely don't have KDSS.

Our LC didn't come with AHC, it does have KDSS. However, I have also seen vehicles that have AHC and KDSS if I'm not mistaken. I was simply discussing how AHC isn't a benefit to us.
