You didn't over pay dude .. $250 installed for me. Gonna pull the pin on them today just because of this thread. I won't have them for a bit, but will contribute my opinion once I have had them on for a bit. Duratracs were my first pick, but lets try something different!

nice find guys!

Anyone any word on official tread depth? I saw some brand new ones on a HEEP yesterday and they looked a little shallow. I know the standard is about 18/32's....these looked to be around 16/32's to the untrained eye...ME. I know the KM2 in the same variety come in at 20/32's.

anyone know of the typical mileage lifespan of the tires? i need some new tires within the next week or two and so im just wondering if these will get a good amount of mileage.

that looks great. i dig em a lot.

installed 315/75/16 on my stock 97 40th....j lift sitting in the garage waiting to get installed...running boards removed....

Fierce Attitude M/T......I hate the cheesy name but the tires rock...little road noise, and very comfortable ride with very little road noise only heard with the windows open......no noise heard with windows closed....

Pic's forthcoming......

I work at a tire shop here and had those tires brought in. I couldnt get past the damn ugly fake barb wire.

Can we get an update review?

Looks a lot like the MTZ. Not a bad looking tire - except for that barbed wire on the sidewall...

update on these?

I've got the 305's on my rig. Love 'em. And I don't even notice the barbed wire everyones' got their panties in a wad about.

Worked great for me last weekend, although when you're playing in clay I don't think it matters what tire or how deep the tread, they all turn out like slicks.

It doesn't seem to clean the lugs out quickly - had to get up to around 15/20 before the clay/mud went flying off, and that was a little fast for the area I was in.

But overall I love 'em for the couple of months I've had them. Very low noise, a little vibration at 70+, but I'm considering putting in beads to fix that. I picked mine up at my local Sams' club.

Have you had them in any rocks yet? I've wondered how they do with chunking and cutting.

18/32 on my spare.

Sorry, I live in Florida. Our rocks get caught in the treads of our tires...

I'm going on a snow/mountain run tomorrow. Sure to hit rock at some point. What would you like to know and I'll keep a look out for ya.

Just take a look to see if they chunk more than would be expected if you get them spinning. They're basically duratracs so I wouldn't think they would, but I wonder where they (dunlop) save their money. Possibly in the rubber compound?
I'm tossing around buying these as trail only tires, because they're $600 less a set than Iroks.

Update

I've used these off road and they rock. In mud or rocky conditions. They also show very little tread wear and wear evenly. I've read reviews on line and ppl are getting 45- 55 k miles out of them which is quite impressive. I expect the same.

Update from me - I think my biggest problem with them is that they're too small... hah! I want 37's now.

I've abused the hell out of mine. They are soft, and I do have some chunks missing now that they've been sliced on some rocks (GSMTR mostly)... they are getting a little louder now that they have a few thousand miles on them, but nothing bad. I need to get them re-balanced however - funny how the weights on the rim seem to just disappear after a hard trail ride.

My gripes? Maybe that they don't air down all that well... you can go down to 12-15, but then they bulge pretty good. Of course my rig probably weighs more than most too, and that might have something to do with it.

While I like them well enough, I think my next set will be 37" KM2's... and will probably come well before the tread life is gone from these.

A little info on tire wear... I finally got around to measuring my tread depth and I now have around 30-32/64'th left.

That puts me at around 9-10K miles since I put them on. I see the 285's list the original tread depth at 19/32, so that tells me I've got around 85% left on them. Do a little math, and that means if I kept them I might get 50-60K out of them. Of course at some point they become worthless as an MT, but I'm not sure what tread depth is the cut-off point.

Keep in mind I've got 5 of them, and I'm doing a 5-tire rotation as well... speaking of, it's about time for another one.

Mine have 20,000 miles on them an are still at 16/32. As many have said, not a huge fan of the barbed wire, but they're great tires. A
