Went to the Toyota showroom today. Was able to snap quite a few pictures of the new 300 series. Didn't take anything for a test drive, but both floor models were the 4.0L V6, not the 3.5L twin turbo. Of note on the specs page on the twin turbo: 9.3km/L equals out to about 21.9 mpg.

Does the bottom part of the 3rd row seat slide forward and up? Cause that looks like an awfully small place to park ones butt.
Yes, I was trying to quickly snap these photos. The 300 series is selling like hotcakes over here. There were probably 4 other families looking at these two they had on the showroom floor.

Very cool. Thank you for sharing. I’m very jealous that we do not get the new Land Cruiser 300 in the US. It seems like the best LC yet, and now they decide to pull it from our market.

I believe you. The ME is a hot market for cruisers.

I've been trying to find an FJ40/FJ43/FJ75 to bring back to the states from my time here for a while. Most of them have been "fixed" so many times over here it's been impossible for me to find one worth the cost to import back and fix.

The ME also throws has some very strange “mods” that are put on cruisers. Hideous body kits and such that add weight and render it useless off the asphalt.

Spent 3 years looking for a 45 Troopy worth buying. Accidentally ran across a FZJ75 around year 1 that I picked up. Takes a lot of patience.

Rollover I’m guessing?

Love the lifted look of that 300! Has that been outfitted for filming of something? Doesn’t look armored. What seats did they mount?

Looks good lifted. Yeah what's the raised seat for? Politician or something?

It looks to me like a safari conversion. Middle seat is used to take pictures of animals etc.

Does the UAE have lots of animals? A safari conversion could make sense, especially if it was RHD, but most African safari vehicles use the 79 single cab platform and put a large, elevated tray on back for lots of passengers. And all the countries that I know of that do safari’s, are RHD countries.
