The pedal is a good find, Ryan. Post a pic when you get a minute.
I remember it being from Ethiopia and it was from a 2000 to 2006 Previa. Doing a Little research, It looks like a Lexus sc430 has a very similar pedal. That part number is 78010-30030. Here is a pic of that pedal I pulled of the web. I will get a picture of mine tomorrow.

Here is my thread that I am currently swapping a 2/3uz swap in my 60 on a 80 chassis. A couple of things.

  • I found a bolt in DBW pedal for the 60. It comes from a previa van. I got mine off ebay. I will see if I can find a PN#
  • I used GX470 egine mounts mostly because that's what I had. the frame side brackets were still available as of accouple of years ago. PN# 51401-35410 and PN#51402-35360
  • instead of a auto I went with a H151f and H1fa tcase. 100 series over seas came with a manual so I was able to get everything to bolt it up from Toyota. Here are those part numbers.

Ran across this guy on the "auction site" has a lot of weld it your self options for 2UZ oil pans for swap applications. Pics look good and if you have the skill set, this is a looks like good and a bit more cost effective alterntive to having to get 100 series parts from the dealer to convert your Non-cruiser sourced UZ oil pan to your new applaictions.

I have a rusted out 2000 LC my kids have been driving around. Thinking about using it in the 40 or the ‘66 LV. Thanks so much for putting this together!

this is a great thread. When I got the itch for the V8, I simply bought a '03 V8 4runner to get my jollies off. That sweet V8 exhaust gives me a chub, i can't lie.

You fellas are next level.
 
looking for alternate ideas for throttle pedal mounting ideas. The 100 series cable is slightly larger than the firewall hole in the 80, ok no issue just step drill a little larger. But also the holes for the mounting bolts is off a bit. My thoughts are remove the square nuts welded to the fire wall and then center punch and drill new mounting holes and just through bolt it.

I guess my question is there a more elegant solution to this that anyone has run across ?

I am swapping an 06 engine and A750 from a 4runner into my FJ40. I have a solution for adapting a split case to the short 23 spline output (Non Land Cruiser version) A750. I need to get a build thread started to document all the finer details.

I discovered that Toyota makes two versions of a spud shaft to adapt a R150 (23 spline output) to the split case in the 79 series Land Cruiser:

I’m using 36211-60090. You could use 32611-60021 and get a shorter or longer overall length with different lengths of a 23 spline female coupler.

This requires a sealed t-case input bearing, the stock bearing is on the transmission side of the input seal and is oiled by the transmission (H42 or H55f). It’s a 6307 size bearing with an external snap ring, I used NSK TM307A1A10NR Manual Transmission Input Shaft Bearing.

Using this shaft the extension housing needs to be removed from the transmission, the downside to this is it contains the fill plug for the transmission, however the transmission can be filled through the cooler lines (That’s how I do it anyway when I do fluid exchanges).

To adapt the t-case to the transmission I am using a combination of advance adapters products and custom adapter plates.

Starting at the back of the transfer case I am using the AA adapter plates for a 4L80 which adapt the split case to a 6 bolt round pattern:

Specifically these two items from the kit

For the transmission side I am having custom adapters cut from 6061 aluminum, I measured out the bolt holes and drew these up in cad:
This bolts to the back of the transmission, I’ll get it cut from 3/8 which is the thickness of the raised circle around the output shaft:

The next adapter will be cut from 3/4, this adapts the transmission pattern to the 6 bolt round pattern and has provisions for 7 and 14 degree clocking which should get the split case even with my frame rail. The holes will be threaded for m10x1.5 studs.

The next adapter is just to make up whatever is left in thickness, still tbd

I had the first adapter test cut out of 1/8 steel and I need to adjust two holes slightly. I also don’t like how close the clocking holes are to each other so I’m going to add a couple dowel pins to the assembly.

Gonna be following this one. AA has a bracket to get from Tundra to Atlas, but it's nice seeing something to keep yoshi's parts in place.
 
Well, just for anyone else. 100 series accelerator cable is just about perfect, I just filled the through holes on the bracket with epoxy and the redrilled them using the pedal stop bracket as a guid. Used the center portion of the rubber gasket in place to seal the hole, and hit the fire wall hole with a rat tail file just enough clearance the adjuster nuts on the whip end.

Also I think found a molded hose application for the “hot side” of the heater control valve from the coolant crossover. It’s from an 06-08 Honda pilot part number 79723S3VA00 or gates 18043. Not 100% sure on fitment it’s on the way. Will report back when it gets here and I have time to test fit.

I've found that a late 80s Toyota Pickup with a 22RE has a nice one that's readily available new. Make a couple brackets and it tucks in nicely. A GM PCV grommet from the HELP! Line fits the resi's in-molded post nicely. Photo below shows it installed.

I may end up going that way, but for now I am trying to use the OEM tuna can from the 80, as its in great condition and I like the look of it better than a square plastic box. I have a decentg enough MAF adapter housing so its moslty now looking for a configuration that might work better so I dont have to have too many couplers to make it all work. Wish I had TIG machine handy I would just build one so I only needed a boot on each end and has the hose bibs for the PCV and the FPR.

Current set up not sure I like it enough yet

There are several good reasons to use the cyclone housing. Definitely not knocking it.

I prefer the 4R box as it mounts easily with a few simple to fabricate tabs, tucks in tightly to create a lot of space on the DS fender, uses a readily available MAF sensor, and plays well with the Sequoia intake tube. With the exception of the little tabs, it's all bolt in, with replacements at hand, and the whole thing looks OE...because it is.

Adding pics of the 3rd gen 4R shifter installed. Lands in an excellent spot and has a good feel and look. In-house made bracket locates tcase shifter from a 100 in the OE shifter position.

What did you use for a tube to make the connection? What provision was used for fuel pressure regulator and vent tube?
