Toyo Boyo
SILVER Star
Driving habits / conditions? Mmmmmmmm
Well, I live a few hundred meters from the sea so I suppose I am at sea level
The tallest mountain in this part of the UK is 886m. The highest I used to wheel my Surf was further north but still less than 1000m elevation.
Motorway driving at 120 kph max. But at that speed for a few hours - motorways around here are fairly quiet.
Biggest strain on my Surf was the horse box + two ponies + tack + camping gear + 2 daughters = 2000kgs. The box when empty weighed 975kgs on its own. Very hilly regions where most of the competitions took place so the truck really did have to step up to the plate.
Best cooling mod was the tranny cooler. Once fitted, I never heard the auxillary fan kick in again (which it always did when wheeling or towing). I even shorted it out one day just to make sure it still worked.
The truck was driven with repect, but not like yer granny!
