2F HEI Distributor Questions (1 Viewer)

Before I hit the road Friday, I want to swap in a new HEI distributor I got here on MUD (Thanks Brian).

I have a few questions.

First, there are two male ends on the coil. One is a 12v feed and the other is a tach feed. Any idea which is which?

Second, where can I pick up a compatible rotor for this dizzy? What type should I be asking for?

Answer to question 1:

"The wiring for the distributor is very simple. Find the terminal labeled "bat" on the HEI cap, and wire 12V to it."

is that a gm cap ?most of them have it stamped right above the wires.

Tell the parts guy mid 80's GM pickup with 6 cyl and electronic ignition. I bought every replaceable part for mine before I realized HEI Dizzy on EBay is a crook...shipped the dist set up wrong, rigged a bunch of spacers on the bottom and it wobbles like crazy.

Yikes. Mine looks pretty complete. Any other installation advice?
