yeah I was thinking that last night, or elsewhere in various galleries etc......

...and that's how it starts.

Get ready for your frame-off!:lol::lol::lol:

HAHAHAH isn't that the truth, this started as a simple headgasket change. That turns into a well the exhaust has to come off so that gasket too.....screw it, we'll order the engine overhaul gasket kit and do all the gaskets and seals that we encounter. Well, while the heads off lets lap the valves and do new stem seals (probably should just do a whole new valve train). Hummmm whats this felt thing on the valve train? OHHHHH aftermarket HGs suck? Darn! oh well live and learn, lets do it again WITH OEM! Oh wait, after all this work and that felt thing should we drop the pan and see whats down there? Should we just put a new Oil pump in since the one in there is likely 40 years old? Hummmmmm this would be much easier if we just pulled the engine...................

Sound familiar? And welcome to the most addictive, money/time sucking hobby there is.

Whats the old saying?
"Pull the thread on an old sweater, and suddenly you find yourself knitting a new sweater......"

What else would we do with our "spare time", been one heck of a good learning experience.
Cheers everyone!

I can see you have the right frame of mind. You will do fine.
