Now that's more like it. Diesel-Tech has his dyno well sorted.

You should leave the TD42 there for a week with a blank cheque and see what the results look like.:D

Finally got around to fixing up the rear after fitting the new lights.

All done just needs a new lick of paint in the new year. The rear cross member will need a couple of in fills and a coat too.

Finally got around to up loading some short clips of us at Vic Winch 08

Sprint to the finish box after winching.

1st two 4x4's through this stage took over the 20min allowed time. You had to stop mid section of the quagmire to clip a business card zip tied to the roll cage. The clipper was attached to a post half way up. The crowed had become a little complacent after the first 2 attempts :D

Third and final clip.

Hate doing river runs when you can't see the boulders, a balance of speed and balls. But listen to the 2F-ETI hit the rev limiter on the sharp climb out at the end of the water :D

No wonder you are breaking diffs and axles, that take off in the first vid was amazing. I'm glad she is working out for ya Matt. Good to see a cruiser holding its own at the competiton. 40's just have amazing traction don't they. The right combo of weight, distribution and size. Of course your little upgrade dosen't hurt either.

I started this thread on the 2nd of Jan 2007

The engine fired for the first time on the 4th June 2008

Tonight it's new years eve 2008

Was it worth it, doing something that has never done before, I don't just mean turboing a 2F, I'm mean going to the trouble of a full race build with all it's expenses and problems.

For me it's a little like concurring Everest only one can be first, some say it can't be done and they watch and wait for you to fall off the mountain. I might not be the last, I'm sure one day someone will follow or at least hope they will. They will not be disappointed.

What does 2009 hold, well I would like to crack the 200kw/270hp at the rear mark on the dyno. If I can find a sponsor with deep pockets there are 6 comps in 2009 I would like to do.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FELLOW MUDDERS:cheers:

I'm sure most of you are aware of the devastating bush fires around us at present here in Melbourne. This Sunday see us along with others from the 4x4 community head out to feed livestock that has survived the fires in the more inaccessible areas but have lost all their food to the fires, wind permitting as the fires are still a very real risk. As well as where possible lend a hand to the locals. Though some areas are not accessible as yet due to been crime scenes.
The current death toll is 181 with over 2000 properties destroyed and many still missing and unaccounted for.
If anyone cares to donate cash to help the affected please feel free to paypal me via angusmcinnes@optusnet.com.au I will ensure the donations are passed on immediately, just mark any payments as Vic Bush Fire Relief
Many Tks

Malcb Tks for the donation much appreciated and has been passed on.

Sundays turn out was in the hundreds all split into work groups.

One lady and her disabled child lost all at the property we were dispatched too, house shed and pretty much everything in them, Tonight she has 2 caravans on site with power and water. Power reconected, a new 5000ltr water tank delivered onto a new bed of sand and filled too with fresh drinking water.

Quite amazing to be honist, it's just a shame people can not be so giving all the time myself included I guess.

Some 2000 properties have been lost and 7000 people dispalced so my free weekends are going to be busy for quite a while.

Bet it is nice to do something thats appreciated and makes such a difference, can't imagine it happening in the UK now, H&S training and all the rest would become a problem.

Just a visual for thos who dont know what happened, People like Matt are making a differance, helping out without wanting anything in return.

I myself am a volunteer fire fighter that has been in most these places and have seen what has been lost.

Good work Matt.

Cheers Cammo

Wow that is horrible. Didn't they arrest the ass that started some of the fires?

On a side note, the burned Holden wagon in the last photo, is that the same model that not yet mad Max piloted in the film when he went on vacation with his family?
